The Road Less Traveled

I never thought my hobby will take me to this level. When I started with photography a few years ago, most of my works, aside from portraits of people and pets, are landscapes and seascapes. They weren't that complicated I would say, because most of them concerns mainly of the whole picture. With sceneries, what I try to capture is the atmosphere, for me, it's all that defines a picture. With portraits, I would say that a combination and balance between atmosphere and the subject are two [if not all] of the main factor that I needed to consider. But taking photography job for fashion taught my eyes to look at a very different perspective.

Most of people work for eight hours a day and five days a week. While the others work for ten hours and six days, and some others by choice or out of necessity, spend the entirety of their waking hours for labor. It's not about how much time of our life is spent working but by doing what we love to do make our labor seem effortless. Life becomes mundane when we are doing the same things over again and again especially if this becomes constant for a long period of time. Regardless of how much we love what we do, like lovers, sooner or later we will become weary, the passion wanes, and the love for what we labor becomes a burden.

It is innate to the human heart to desire for something it lacks, to experience new things and seek for an adventure. This hunger drives the human spirit to seek for a new meaning in life, to see oneself in a different picture and experience life in a different perspective.

To some people, life is about prestige and money, achieving as much as one is capable of. To others, it's about simplicity, to skip the complexities of life and enjoy simple living. Regardless of what philosophy one believes in, anyone can take photography jobs for a change - lifestyle or leisure. This is a meaningful way of selling your ideas and views of life through pictures.
