Studio Product Photographer – (NC)

OFM, LLC is a private label wholesaler and distributor of high quality school and office furniture with our Corporate Headquarters located in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Based on our rapid growth, we have a newly created position for a full time in house Studio Photographer. The primary purpose of the position is to work with, and support our Graphics Department with the design and production of company literature to promote and advertise the company.

Essential Duties:

• Must be able to take great photos: see what others don’t see
• Photograph company products for use in marketing, advertising, web and print; photograph company events and promotions
• Use state of the art 360 degree photography robotics and software to create ‘spins’ for website and marketing
• Assist in the daily functions of department including product photography stills, 360 degree photography, CGI images, project scheduling & tracking, organizing of company servers, naming files and archiving images
• Ensure accurate and current brand guidelines, integrity and consistency throughout all projects
• Conceptualize, coordinate, and direct photography and photo shoots in-house, on location and at commercial studios
• Collaborate on, and document, conceptual ideas for photography, video, print advertising and design, as well as CGI
• Assemble and disassemble product for photography purposes
• Maintain inventory and upkeep of in-house photo studio and ensure the operational condition of department equipment
• Select, book and direct professional and non-professional models as needed
• Use Photoshop & Lightroom to do high quality, high resolution post-production photo retouching on images
• Create and use Excel Spreadsheets for organizing image information, image cataloging, and to schedule in-house and location shoots
• Consult with internal and external customers as well as vendors and freelance employees
• Assist the Graphics Department team members with projects using Photoshop, Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat
• Maintain graphics for website, make updates to website, upload images to ftp site and image hosting sites
• Review and suggest raw images for retouching
• Research new software and equipment as necessary

Requirements:

1) 7+ years of experience working as a Photographer
2) Degree in Photography or Equivalent Experience
3) An outstanding photography portfolio that demonstrates a passion for photography and includes product photography, photo composition, digital photography, lighting, color quality, and overall aesthetics
4) In-house studio product photography experience required
5) Ability to use Canon 5D Mark 2 and Canon 1DS Mark 3 digital cameras
6) Studio and location photography knowledge and understanding the demands of both
7) Extensive experience and thorough knowledge of photography equipment, studio lighting and lighting products both indoors and outdoors
8) Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 software skills predominantly Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and Acrobat for photo retouching, image manipulation, image cataloging
9) Knowledge of graphic file formats and file management necessary
10) Self-starter/self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision
11) Problem solver with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, positive attitude, and willingness to do what it takes to get projects done
12) Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
13) Ability to work independently and as part of a team
14) Must have great attention to detail
15) Ability to present ideas for shoots to both the Graphics Team and Management through written and visual means
16) Ability to work in Mac and PC Platforms
17) Use of Word, Excel, Outlook
18) Knowledge of print production beneficial
19) CGI software or directing CGI imagery experience beneficial
20) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more
