About the Opportunity
Provides a full range of digital photographic services to the United States Air force Academy. Provides support during core duty hours (Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm) and non-core duty hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Photography Lab Lead. As a photographer, works independently or on a photography/documentation team; solves most problems though consultations with more experienced photographers, if available, or through reference sources. Provides (but is not limited to) expert digital photographic services, to include, acquisition, production, archiving, and delivery. Uses creative and special effects photography; creates masterpiece photography when required. Routinely participates in USAFA public information programs requiring pictorial and artistic qualities that transmit the desired information or impression to the audience; these images will either be published or made available for use by USAFA customers. When processing and printing imagery, ensures the highest levels of precision, color balance, and overall picture quality. Enlarges, crops, or retouches prints to meet or exceed customer's requirements using digital equipment, methodologies, and processes. Accomplishes color control management for digital workstations. Establishes calibration of workstation input/output. Works in a studio and at the customer service counter accepting work orders and giving advice on services. Maintains technological standards and investigates and promotes new technologies for use in educational training. Operates photographic equipment in a studio environment and provides indoor and outdoor on-location photography support. Dresses appropriately in support of all events. Observes and adheres to safety rules and regulations.
