East Los Angeles College, with an enrollment of approximately 36,000, is the largest of the nine colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District, and is located in the Los Angeles suburb of Monterey Park, in the San Gabriel Valley. The Media Arts Department is looking for faculty to join in its pursuit of student success and professional excellence. We are seeking professionals with experience in production and/or post-production which may include commercial photography, digital video/cinema, and digital media production.

Any Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience, OR any Associate’s degree and six years of professional experience. Professional experience must be directly related to teaching assignment.

Salary and benefits:
Salary: Initial placement $54,670 to $85,120 (10-month assignment). Placement on the salary schedule is based on formal education, full-time and/or part-time teaching history, and related work experience. Opportunities for additional earnings exist with winter and summer assignments. The district provides medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee and eligible dependents and life insurance for the employee. In addition to the State Teachers’ Retirement System (STRS), employees have the option to participate in a 403b plan.
