Still Photographer, University Communications


ROLE of the POSITION

This position provides still photography as well as other related creative services in support of UNLV's overall academic, research, philanthropic, marketing and communication goals. The photographer will be part of the Creative Services Marketing team, which is lead by the Creative Services Marketing Director reporting to the Associate Vice President of University Communications. The Creative Services Marketing team is comprised of photographers, multimedia specialists, and graphic designers, and the utilization of freelance creative services.

The photographer will collaborate with members of the entire University Communications team, comprising of editorial, web, social media, and creative services staff, plus media relations and campus communications professionals in an effort to capture and produce high-quality visuals that reach our constituents and audiences. Those individuals and groups consist of students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, donors, and others. Photography produced by this position is used to help promote a positive image of the university through various communication channels including print, web, social media, video, and traditional media outlets.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university and 5 years of photography experience.

SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
