Part-Time Photographer
Intersection will be a new urban experience company at the intersection of technology, connectivity, data, and media. The newly-formed company will deliver innovative urban-focused technology and information solutions, ground-breaking advertising and benefit the lives of millions of people.
The merger, led by Sidewalk Labs, an urban innovation company recently launched by Dan Doctoroff with Google, and propelled by investments from top technology and civic leaders, will empower Intersection to scale LinkNYC and extend this thinking and approach into an array of solutions for cities, improving access to information and government services, and encouraging citizen engagement. Intersection has the power to transform cities and build new markets and is already creating a new type of advertising by combining the digital and physical landscape.
Intersection is also the managing member of CityBridge, a New-York based consortium of leading experts in technology, advertising, connectivity, and user experience, which is the implementation team behind LinkNYC. LinkNYC is a first-of-its-kind communications network set to bring the fastest available municipal Wi-Fi to millions of New Yorkers and visitors beginning this year.
The Role
Intersection is the largest municipal sales and advertising company in the US, with media in over 40 markets. We are seeking a part-time photographer for our Los Angles market. Candidate must have their own equipment and possess a street-smart, journalistic-style, and a willingness to follow company standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Photographing static and moving media as proof of performance for our clients
- Editing photos to best showcase media
- Maintain our online and local digital library of campaign photos
- Ride LBT and LADOT bus
- Shoot artistic photos for proposals, multimedia presentations and collateral materials
- Ability to record and edit video of running digital campaigns a plus
Applicant Requirements:
- Our ideal candidate will be a reliable, talented, self-motivated photographer with 1-2 years experience of photography either through schooling, freelance work, or employment.
- Valid driver’s license and unrestricted access to a car is required.
- Equipment will not be provided – a DSLR is required, video capabilities a plus.
- Familiarity with Mac OSX, iPhoto, Photoshop and digital photography
- Outgoing personality and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills
- Familiarity with street photography
