MARKETING COORDINATOR


Job description/Responsibilities: Acts as a representative of Saint Mary's Marketing Department for a variety of functions and/or special events; assists with marketing projects which promote positive attributes of quality health care and patient satisfaction. Provides support to other departments as requested.
1. Plans, researches, writes and edits articles for internal and external newsletters, brochures and other communications’ pieces, working cooperatively with system and regional public relations and marketing department staff. Supports internet and intranet communications.
1. Effectively proofreads and edits articles, news releases, brochures, ads, etc., working cooperatively with regional or system public relations and marketing staff. Coordinates reviews and approvals. Accountable for accuracy and deadlines.
2. Under direction of system public relations director, researches, hires and supervises freelance writers, graphic designers, photographers and printers as needed. Provides art direction for photography used in periodicals, collateral materials and advertising as needed.
3. Supports list development and list management used for distribution of communications and marketing materials.
4. Assumes responsibility for special assignments, particularly during crisis or special events.
5. Provides support to public relations and marketing director and specialists as needed. Works cooperatively with regional and system public relations and marketing staff at all times.
6. Tailors oral and written communications according to audience.
7. Generates innovative solutions and ideas that support the goals of the public relations and marketing department.
8. Coordinate specified events such as health fair participation and organization.
9. Manage special projects commissioned by corporate director of marketing
10. Write, produce and distribute internal and external newsletters.
11. Assist in public relations duties, including writing press releases, responding to media requests, initiating media interest and generating positive media relationships.
Produce content for internal newsletters and external communications; Update media clippings for company
Draft and edit press releases and pitch media for various clientele
Maintain distribution lists and contacts
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and media
Organization of media related events including but not limited to press conferences, media luncheons, interviews, meet and greets, etc.
Participate in creative viral marketing campaigns to drive engagement, with clearly defined objectives and measurable results
Keep all events updated on various event calendars
Have a working knowledge and experience using Twitter, Facebook and other Social Media platforms

Required Qualification: 1. Prefer three to five years background in special event management, customer service management, marketing or public relations.
2. Bachelors degree preferred in business, marketing or public relations.
3. Excellent organizational and customer services skills.
4. Maintain the ability to deal with difficult individuals in a professional manner.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to track a project from start to finish and develop the tools necessary for success.
7. Computer literacy with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
