| Position Summary |
This recruitment will be used to fill one part time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Student Support Services position for Orange Media Network at Oregon State University.
Freelance photographers at the Daily Barometer attend assigned events to photograph
and aesthetically capture the essence of their assigned story. |
| Position Duties |
-Take photos for stories as assigned by the Photo Editor.
- Attend assigned events and collaborate with the assigned reporter for photographic ideas related to the story.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings with editors or Orange Media Network professional staff.
- Act and dress professionally while representing the Daily Barometer
- Keep good communication with Photo Editor and other relevant staff members.
- Promptly meet deadlines for every assignment.
- May be asked to shoot video as assigned.
- Gather information on names, locations, and other relevant information for photo captions. |

| Additional Required Qualifications |
- Fee paying student and minimum enrollment of 6 credits, and be in good academic standing (2.0 GPA)
- Outstanding ethics and commitment to truth |
| Preferred (Special) Qualifications |
- Extensive knowledge of camera function
- Can efficiently shoot in Manual mode
- Previous photography experience for a publication.
- Takes initiative to take go above and beyond photo assignments. |
| Working Conditions / Work Schedule |
Working in indoor and outdoor conditions with other members of the Daily Barometer around
Corvallis community members. Must be willing to work in a team environment and take on new
challenges. |
