Description
The Creative Services Production Hire Assistant Editor is responsible for day-to-day support in the editing of video content, as managed through SPT’s Creative Services department. He/she must work closely with the VP, On-Air Marketing, Producer/Editors, and Project Managers to ensure workflow is smooth, timely, and productive.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in editing video content for all lines of SPT’s business:
- International Distribution
- Syndication
- Ad Sales
- Franchise Marketing
- Networks
- Media & Talent Relations
- Maintain established technical standards & post production procedures
- Transcode media assets (SD/HD & PAL/NTSC) and be knowledgeable of all video formats and international broadcast standards
- Author and burn BLU-RAY’s and DVD’s
- FTP uploads
- Media manage and archive media assets
- Maintain quality control (QC) of all projects
- Be highly productive and maintain a high standard of technical quality in accordance with Sony International Broadcast Standards
- Work well under pressure with tight deadlines, as part of a team and independently
- Manage multiple projects at once
- Possess strong attention to detail and be highly organized
- Be an energetic problem solver who can present creative concepts and solutions
- Have an understanding of Digital Asset Management (DAM)
- Assist Producer/Editors and Project Managers with a variety of tasks, as required.
