Overview
Massdrop is looking for a stellar Assistant Photographer to join our creative team on a freelance basis. Are you interested in starting your professional career at a successful startup? Do you have experience assisting photographers and doing your own photo shoots? Are you an expert in studio lighting? Can you photoshop yourself into / out of anything? If you answered yes to all these questions we encourage you to apply!
This is a high-paced, challenging position with plenty of opportunity for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assisting photographers with studio lighting / setup
- Shooting your own products under direction of in-house Photographers
- Retouching/uploading product photos both on and off site as needed
Qualifications
- Experience with studio and location product & lifestyle photography
- Proven experience in studio lighting
- Excellent Photoshop and retouching skills are a must
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability
- Your own equipment, specifically: Laptop with Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom & Bridge and a graphics tablet for retouching

Other details
- This is a paid, freelance position at our San Francisco office
- Hours are based off the amount of work we have coming in, however, due to our rapidly growing company this should increase on a month to month basis.
